GLOSSY BOX OCTOBER 2020 REVIEW
Hello! Welcome to my second edition of reviewing GlossyBox subscription boxes! Whether this is your first time, having no idea of what GlossyBox is I will go into greater depth below.
It is a subscription box delivering beauty and cosmetics samples to your door. It is available in ten countries! The samples are samples of higher-priced products for you to try. I loved this idea, as there is nothing worse than spending lots of money on a beauty product to only find that your skin doesn’t work well with it. Not forgetting it gives me a chance to try out beauty products that I probably wouldn’t even look to buy.
GlossyBox offers different prices for different types of subscriptions. Some are monthly subscriptions, and some you can pay for the full 12 months upfront if you wanted to.

So we have 5 products this month, ranging from star dust foaming bath powder to pixie lipstick. I am loving the packaging for this month’s edition, it gives a sense of supernatural Halloween vibes. I have heard of only one of these brands in this month’s edition and that would be the Illamasqua Primer, but yes I am highly excited to test these products out.

So here we have the AHC Essential Real eye Cream. A brand that I haven’t heard before but maybe one that I am glad to have come across. One of the benefits of this product, is that it is not just for the eye area and actually in fact in can be used across your whole face if you chose to. The cream contains peptides and vitamins, helping to balance out the texture of your skin whilst hydrating your skin.

A small amount of this concentrated cream goes a long way. I first tried this underneath my eyes and saw a slight improvement of hydration. I am yet to try it across the rest of my face, but I have so many beauty products for my face so I didn’t want to bombard my face with too many!

An uplifting rose scent in the form of bath powder? I have heard of bath salts and rocks with a scent but never in the form of a bath powder. This would be an ideal gift for a hamper for one of those relaxation self-care ones. This product is cruelty-free and was developed exclusively for Glossybox’s October ‘The Beauty Tales’ Beauty Box!
You sprinkle the bath powder into a warm bath, and allow the powder reaction with the warm bath water to do the magic of letting off rose scents whilst you sit back and relax. I will be using this product for those self-care Sunday’s to ensure that I am able to fully relax which uses all of my senses…especially the smell sense!

Getting a clean and fresh lipstick is always a must. Luna by Luna is a brand that I have not come across before. The colour is bright and powerful, which I do love. It goes onto your lips so smoothly, and it doesn’t sit in between the creases of your lips! There is nothing worse than getting a lipstick which makes your lips feel less hydrated and dry.

The lipstick is extremely creamy and as you can see on my skin it produces a solid line just after one stroke. It has strong pigment, and I feel like it does lock down onto the lips very well!

I have seen this product in Selfridges in London before. I always had an interest in this brand but never actually got round to trying it. Well I am glad GlossyBox has given the opportunity to!
This is a hydrating gel like primer, which is ideal to be used before makeup application. It is part hydrator and part primer. The gel contains Microalgae, Vitamin C and B3 which all work together to help give you that finish.

The plant extracts found within this primer, help to provide a calming and refreshing feeling. I use this underneath my makeup and when applied it gives my skin a clear barrier to help apply the foundation, resulting in flawless looking foundation base.

Here we have a small two piece palette, which contains a shimmery blush shade and one matte blush shade. The matte shade will give you the base colour, and the shimmery will help to uplift the glow in your skin.

The left shade is the shimmery blush, it acts like a blush-highlighter. It can be easy to go overboard, just using a small amount of each will allow you to build it up gradually to how much colour you desire. With myself, I like to add only a small amount to give some colour, whereas everyone is different and some want to add more a heavy look of blush.

That is all from me lovelies! I hope you enjoyed my GlossyBox October 2020 review. Hope you are taking care and staying safe!
