Ooo, I am very excited to be doing my first ever Glossy Box review! I had been looking to sign up to Glossy Box’s monthly subscriptions for so many months and I finally got round to doing it, and I am pleased I have!

Let me go into more detail of what GlossyBox is.

glossybox september 2020 review

It is a subscription box delivering beauty and cosmetics samples to your door. It is available in ten countries! The samples are samples of higher-priced products for you to try. I loved this idea, as there is nothing worse than spending lots of money on a beauty product to only find that your skin doesn’t work well with it. Not forgetting it gives me a chance to try out beauty products that I probably wouldn’t even look to buy.

GlossyBox offers different prices for different types of subscriptions. Some are monthly subscriptions, and some you can pay for the full 12 months upfront if you wanted to.

I’ve got some good news, I will be doing monthly reviews on GlossyBoxes!

So we have 5 products this month, ranging from shower foam moisturizers to an enzyme facial scrub. I do really like the range of products that GlossyBox have given this month. I have seen some of these brands before especially the wishful enzyme facial scrub, with a papaya scent! Ooo I’m so excited to try this!

WISHFUL YO GLOW ENZYME SCRUB – TALIABUSUTTIL.COM

The Wishful Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub is something I’ve been wanting to try out for such a long time but never got around to actually testing it out. The product is known for a powerful but gentle exfoliating scrub. It is infused with a combination of papaya and pineapple enzymes. Let’s not forget the BHA & AHAs (beta hydroxy acids, alpha-hydroxy acids) that both help to exfoliate dead skin cells, even skin texture and reduce dark spots. Sounds like a dream to me!

When I first used this facial scrub, it came out in a misty like lotion. I placed a small amount on my palms and used circular motions, massing the scrub across my face and neck. I couldn’t believe the dead skin cells that had been picked up within seconds of me using the scrub. Another good thing is that a small amount can go a long way, which I believe is always a positive when using beauty products.

After using the scrub, my face felt amazing, no joke here. It felt like I had scrubbed away the top layer of horrible dead skin cells. My skin felt so soft and I really did see a change of my skin impurities for the better a couple of hours later.

Would I recommended? Oh yes, I know that everyone’s skin can be different more sensitive too. For me, however, with someone who has oily sensitive skin, I thoroughly enjoyed using this and did love the end results.

Ah so this is a new brand that I have never heard of before, but I am very pleased GlossyBox had introduced me to it. So these little guys here are brightening eye pads, the ones you use to help reduce puffiness and make you feel a bit more plumped and glowing.

The Plum patches contain Australian superfood ‘Kakadu’. This superfood has said to be the most natural and abundant source of Vitamin C in the whole of the globe. Kakadu is filled with antioxidants which will help to reduce dark circles and help visibly energize your under eye.

I will say when I chose to use these patches, on the inside I wasn’t feeling super energized, in fact I was feeling exhausted by the time the evening came.

These eye patches did make me feel more revived and energized. The patches were cool, so they did help ( I did keep them in a cool dry place). I ensured my face was washed and dry before I applied the patches to my face. I waited 10-15 minutes before removing them. Any excess of the serum I massaged into the rest of my face and neck. I never get rid of any excess serum… it’s all filled with the goodness!

Avant. A skincare brand that has given me great first impressions, that not most skincare brands do for me. It is a supreme hyaluronic acid anti-oxidising DUO moisturiser, that combines ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid and Avocado oil.

Research has shown that Hyaluronic Acid aims to penetrate the skin, to hydrate and instantly improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles ( not having wrinkles at this age, still doesn’t mean that I did not see or feel a difference with my skin!). The Advocado Oil aims to soften the skin whilst helping retain moisture.

When do I use this? Well it is recommended to be used in the mornings and nighttime before you go to sleep. I wash my face in the morning, with warm water, and use a small amount on the tips of my fingers to then dab and tap into my skin in circular motions. Using this kind of motion, I have been told will help stimulate the circulation, and help get rid of any tokins that have been built up.

Do not forget to wash your hands before rubbing this lotion across your face!

If you haven’t tried a coffee scrub before then I suggest you try one. For me, I find that those exfoliating gloves you can buy just do not make my skin feel hydrated or smooth. Coffee scrubs, on the other hand, I find exfoliate and hydrate. This product is enriched with ultra-hydrating sweet almond oil and macadamia oil, to help exfoliate for softer, smoother skin.

How do I use this product? I hop into a warm shower, and use a small portion, which I then begin to buff into my skin. I use the coffee scrub across my whole entire body ( I must say it is good for getting old flakey bits of fake tan off too without leaving it to become too dry). I do not wash this off straight away, as I want the good oils to penetrate into my skin, leaving it feeling more hydrated.

So yes for me, this coffee scrub does everything it says it should do, there is nothing better than using a beauty product and it delivers the best results!

The brand itself is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, paraben, palm oil, mineral oil and sulfate-free.

If you haven’t come across Imperial Leather, then omg you haven’t lived! Their shower gels, bubble bath washes just smell amazing. This little guy here, is from there foam burst collection, which has 4 nourishing natural oils and 3 caring skin conditioners, to leave that skin of yours feeling instantly smoother and soft.

The smell of this foam burst that was given to me by GlossyBox, was the glorious smell of Golden Amber and Coconut oil. It reminds me of the smell when you go into a spa place, and the smell just brings warmth and comfort. Another benefit that I have found with this foam burst, is that it is really good for shaving too. With the oil’s being so nourishing, it helps to stop shaving rashes and you scraping the skin. It’s a 2 in one for me, a luxurious smelling shower wash which leaves your skin feeling moisturized and can be used as a shaving gel foam.

That is all from me lovelies! I hope you enjoyed my first GlossyBox September 2020 review. Hope you are taking care and staying safe!
