How to use extra virgin olive oil for hair – 5 easy steps
1. Pour some virgin olive oil into a bowl and place into the microwave for around 30 seconds (just so that it is warm)
Place around 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a bowl and simply place into microwave until it is warm. Depending on your power of your microwave, you may need to reduce the time you warm up your olive oil to ensure it doesn’t get too hot.
2. Take small amounts of virgin olive oil into the palm and finger tips of your hand and begin to massage into your scalp
You ideally need your whole hair covered in the olive oil, so using a clean hairbrush will help to coat more of your hair quicker. Ensure however that your scalp is lightly coated in olive oil and massage well into the depths of your hair.
3. Cover your hair once completed, and allow it to rest for around 30 minutes before washing off
Leave your hair to fully soak in the warm olive oil before washing it off. This will ensure that your hair absorbs all of the nutrients.

Yes extra virgin olive oil is good for your hair, as it provides good nutrition to the hair. It is most beneficial for those who have dry hair. Olive oil can be a heavy oil to put onto your hair so it can weigh your hair down, if your hair is not thick.
Extra virgin olive oil can help smooth broken ends, so again even if you do have thin hair you can still use extra virgin olive oil to treat the ends of your hair. Apply the warm olive oil from 2 inches from the root of your hair up to the strands of your hair.
